About Annelize (Anna)
Annelize, fondly known as Anna, began her career in the Assistant Director department on international feature films, working alongside celebrated directors such as Tarsem and Anthony Minghella. Her globe-trotting experience in feature filmmaking eventually led her to join the esteemed commercial production house Velocity Films, where she produced commercials as an Assistant Director under the mentorship of the late industry icon Keith Rose.
Transitioning into directing and producing, Annelize has become known for her vibrant work ethic and spontaneous yet imaginative approach, making her an inspiring collaborator. With a natural flair for inventive storytelling and a keen eye for aesthetics, she has also embraced social media content creation and photography, broadening her creative scope.
Her extensive experience spans production & directing, curating locations & cast, for projects filmed in Mauritius, Botswana, Namibia, India, the UK, and South Africa. In 2025, Annelize's directing debut—a romantic comedy—is set to premiere on the streaming platform Showmax, marking an exciting milestone in her ever-evolving career.
Annelize can shoot, direct & produce projects from start to finish. Annelize collaborate closely with talented DOP's, editors, sound designers and post-production ninjas to ensure the final product is crafted and ready for delivery after the shoot.
